Janu wakes up at home to find Hana, a student, cooking breakfast in his kitchen after being invited over by his niece, Dayai. Hana and Dayai discuss their plans for a shopping trip in Okakri, a city Janu is hesitant to visit, preferring his usual routine. Following a disorienting, hallucinatory "glitch" in reality, the narrative shifts to the group already in Okakri.
At the Okakri shopping district, Janu joins Dayai, Hana, Tora, and Tuli for a day of manga and costume shopping. Amidst lighthearted banter about Tora and Hana’s complex social dynamics—including rumors of a past kiss—Janu experiences another surreal, jarring mental lapse. While browsing a manga store, Janu mentions that he recently met the voice actress for a show Dayai loves while she was working at a local café, though he failed to get an autograph or photo.
Later, while wandering the streets, Janu encounters Omaki, Oki's sister, who expresses deep concern about the spiritual journey Janu and Oki have been undertaking together. She describes witnessing Oki lose control of her motor functions during their practice and urges Janu to sever their spiritual connection for Oki's own safety. Janu agrees to discuss these concerns with Oki.
The day ends with the group reconvening; Dayai reveals that Tora bought her a "revealing" Halloween costume. The event concludes with the group heading toward the train station, leading into a surreal, fragmented sequence where Janu finds himself trapped on a train, experiencing an existential breakdown regarding his lack of control and his subconscious memories of his mother’s death.
