Janu visits the hotel, where Mori attempts to kick him out. Their banter continues as Janu questions Mori’s past behavior, specifically her previous requests for his company during their time in Okinawa. Janu playfully irritates Mori by fixating on her new plant, and the two eventually debate their complicated dynamic, with Mori maintaining her hostile exterior while Janu pushes for vulnerability.
Mori begrudgingly agrees to help Janu reserve a room, and in doing so, she allows him to follow her to the top floor of the hotel. Their elevator ride is interrupted when the lift malfunctions, leaving them trapped together. During this forced confinement, Janu presses Mori for a student consultation regarding her future plans, which she vehemently resists. Janu also brings up a recurring "park story" in which he claims to have seen a kinder version of Mori. Although Mori dismisses this as a delusion or a case of mistaken identity, she engages in the conversation, showing signs of internal conflict. Eventually, the elevator is repaired, and they part ways after an awkward encounter, leaving Janu to contemplate the nature of their relationship and the possibility that he has been interacting with two different facets of Mori’s personality.
