Janu, having spent the day wandering, struggles with a faulty vending machine, which leads to a chance encounter with Eruka. Eruka advises him to kick the machine, and they strike up a conversation. Janu mentions he is broke and that his belongings were stolen on the train, leading Eruka to offer to pay for a meal at a local restaurant. Despite Janu’s initial reluctance to accept charity, he eventually relents after Eruka employs a playful "puppy-dog" face.
At the restaurant, they discuss school life and Janu's reputation for being reclusive. Eruka admits her crush on Janu, and although he is her teacher, he acknowledges her feelings and advises her to be more discreet at school. Their meal is interrupted by Zena Ibuka, an acquaintance from Eruka’s school, who makes provocative comments about Eruka’s relationship with Janu. After Zena leaves, Janu returns to his home, where he catches up with Juna. Juna recounts her day, including a visit to the salon where she spoke with Tami, and jokes about Janu’s "girlfriend," Eruka, having paid for her meal. The day concludes with the two relaxing at home, marking the end of the Christmas period as Janu looks forward to future days.
