During a quiet lunch hour in his office, Janu is accompanied by his student, Chinaka, who is assisting with his administrative tasks. Their conversation shifts from a lighthearted discussion about comedy and Chinaka's dislike of Monty Python to a review of Janu’s emails, where they find several vague, unanswered messages from Ms. Wanasha.
The peaceful atmosphere is abruptly shattered when the office door is flung open by an erratic, partially undressed woman who believes the room is her own office and that Janu has usurped her position. Chinaka suspects the woman might be a version of their former colleague, Mrs. Butachona, but Janu notes the woman is far too physically able. After an intense, supernatural-sounding mental breakdown accompanied by high-pitched ringing and voices, the woman calms down on the couch.
Recognizing that the situation is beyond his ability to manage, Janu calls his "niece," Juna, for help. Juna arrives, and they discover the woman is Anju Usagi—a third version of the Usagi identity. Anju reveals she has been trapped in the school since the winter festival, plagued by painful auditory "whispers" and high-pitched frequency interference. As Juna attempts to soothe her, she experiences a traumatic psychic episode that forces her to confront her own past, her relationship with a woman named Valda, and the agonizing truth about her own existence and reality. Following Juna's breakdown, the event concludes with Janu and Anju left to deal with the aftermath, while Juna insists on needing space to recover from the ordeal.
