Janu wakes up disoriented, haunted by a dream from the previous night involving a mysterious, non-human woman at a lake. His friend Dayai finds him at school in a trance-like state, concerned by his appearance and scent. Observing his distress, Dayai urges him to return home to rest, which he eventually agrees to do.
Upon arriving home, Janu consults with Spudge, who was already aware of the mysterious girl Janu encountered. Spudge provides cryptic answers and eventually helps Janu procure a notebook to serve as a journal to track these events. The event concludes with Janu securing the notebook, intended to help him process his experiences and navigate the mysteries surrounding the lake encounter.
