Janu awakens in a disorienting new reality where, despite his memories of graduating, he is informed that he is now in his fourth year of high school. After interacting with Dayai at a lake, Janu realizes that while the environment and the people in it feel identical to his past life, subtle shifts—such as Dayai’s appearance and the repetition of a school year—suggest he has been displaced into an alternate version of his world.
Following a tense conversation with Dayai regarding their secret relationship and the strange continuity of this timeline, Janu encounters Tora. During a bus ride, Janu begins to accept that the versions of the people he knows are not the individuals he originally bonded with. The event concludes with Janu returning to his apartment, where he is confronted by a frantic Juna and her birds. Juna reveals that she, too, has been displaced into this world and expresses deep frustration at having her progress toward graduation reset. The scene ends with the two grappling with the realization that their reality has been irrevocably altered and that Janu is somehow the epicenter of this shift.
