Seeking refuge from the loud, crowded cafeteria, Janu visits the classroom during lunch, where he discovers students Kio and Oki eating alone. Kio explains that they avoid the cafeteria because it is noisy and because Oki was previously bullied by a teacher who stole her pudding. Janu expresses his disapproval of such unprofessional behavior and attempts to comfort Oki, who remains hesitant to report the incident. Their conversation is interrupted by Dayai, who arrives to deliver food to the girls. A playful exchange follows regarding Janu’s title, as he rejects being called "Sir" in favor of "Sensei" or his name. After Dayai departs to finish her other deliveries, Janu spends the rest of the lunch break talking with Kio and Oki, finding the experience much more relaxing and deciding to make the classroom his regular lunch spot.
