Janu and Dayai spend the afternoon searching the classroom for Dayai’s lost phone. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to find it in the classroom, Janu accompanies Dayai to the cafeteria and then the school rooftop, where they discuss their complicated relationships with fellow students Mori and Nokana.
Dayai eventually remembers her locker as a possible location. She forces Janu to turn around while she enters her code, but they ultimately find the phone inside. The search leads them into the school halls, where they run into Hana. Hana recognizes Janu from their shared book club, leaving Dayai surprised that her uncle is on a first-name basis with the student.
The conversation shifts to the upcoming festival, and Hana confesses that she is dreading the event because she must stay home while her mother hosts parties. To help, Dayai proposes a sleepover at their apartment. Despite Janu’s initial hesitation and teasing about the situation, he eventually agrees to host the sleepover, bringing Dayai, Tora, Tuli, and Hana together.
