Summary (Click to reveal)

Janu spends time with his student Nokana, who is agonizing over choosing a meaningful gift for her brother on a limited budget. After she expresses frustration over failing to secure a simple tie, Janu offers her money, but she firmly refuses, viewing it as an unwanted handout. During their conversation, Janu notes the irony of him acting like a "sugar daddy" to some of his students while Nokana expresses her desire to pay her family back for their support.

The discussion shifts to their school lives. Nokana points out that Janu has been acting more like a "normal" teacher since his return, and despite his own intense self-doubt and feelings of incompetence, Nokana praises his efforts and tells him he has done an excellent job. They then touch upon the strained, awkward relationship between Nokana and her former friend, Mori. Janu observes that the two seem like mere acquaintances now, and he agrees to speak with Mori during an upcoming consultation to understand the reason for their distance. The scene concludes with Janu reflecting on his vulnerability to his students' influence, while their lighthearted interaction ultimately causes Mori to storm out of the classroom, leaving Nokana saddened.
