After a brief disagreement with Spudge about Greek mythology and his desire to experience life outdoors, Janu takes the bird on a trip to the woodlands. During their walk, the duo encounters Dice, a literate chicken. Janu is initially bewildered by the presence of a second talking animal, but the three of them soon share a snack and begin to bond. The event concludes with the group establishing a newfound, strange camaraderie, despite Spudge displaying slight jealousy toward the new arrival.
